Requirements

Since its In- Person Recruitment Hackathon, we are looking for individual participation. We wish you to submit your project work as well as your recent resume. Our Team will review both and if suitable, share the details for the in-person hackathon scheduled on 26th April in Pune. There will be different Hackathon Challenge will be given to you.

For your project submission, please implement the following:

 

Write a Python function that accepts the path to a text file as input. Your program should:

  1. Detect and redact:

    • Email addresses (e.g., john.doe@example.com)

    • Phone numbers in common formats:

      • 123-456-7890

      • (123) 456-7890

      • 1234567890

      • +1 123 456 7890

    • Credit card numbers (Visa, MasterCard, etc.) in formats like:

      • 4111 1111 1111 1111

      • 5500-0000-0000-0004

      • 3400 000000 00009

  2. Replace all such sensitive content with [REDACTED]

  3. Save the cleaned version to a new file named redacted_output.txt in the same directory
